What is the Pupil Premium?
The Pupil Premium is an allocation of additional funding (provided to schools since 2011) to support specific groups of children who are vulnerable to possible underachievement. These include pupils who are, or have been eligible for free school meals in the last six years, looked after by the Local Authority and those adopted from care.
The Pupil Premium is intended to help us provide targeted support to improve the attainment of our pupils so that they can reach their full potential. All schools are required to report the amount of money they have received for Pupil Premium and how it has been spent to support pupils. Once the funding has been used the school must report on the impact that it has had.
